Rocky Mountain National Park is the most popular location to visit in Colorado. Spend the day finding some favorite rocks to climb on and enjoying the best view of the Rocky Mountains. Each season has much to offer whether it is the autumn colors and rutting elk, or the spring melt waterfalls and new growth, or the summer wildflowers and grand vistas, or the winter crisp air infused with snow and glaciers. Visit the Park in its many versions. Learn about animals, plants, ecology, conservation efforts, glaciers and the formation of the mountains. We make our way through Boulder to the town of Estes Park, the Gateway of RMNP. In Estes, visit the Historic Stanley Hotel, the inspiration for the movie The Shining. • Upon entering RMNP, explore areas of interest, whether it is the scenery, hiking opportunities, animal watching, etc. • Lunch will be either a picnic in RMNP or in town. In Estes Park, spend some time exploring the Stanley Hotel and quaint downtown area. • After a full day, return to your place of pickup.
